- Introduction
The Philip Harris Periodic Table Scavenger Hunt Scratchcard competition ("Competition") is organised by Findel, trading as Philip Harris ("the Promoter"). By entering the Competition, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
- Eligibility
2.1. The Competition is open to UK residents aged 18 and over working in secondary schools and colleges.
2.2. Employees of the Promoter, their immediate families, primary schools, universities, businesses, private individuals, trade partners, resellers and anyone else professionally connected to the Competition are not eligible to enter.
2.3. Orders for products which are direct delivery are excluded from receiving scratchcards and are not eligible for this Competition.
- How to Enter
3.1. One scratchcard will be included in qualifying customer order boxes of stocked products only.
3.2. To enter, customers must scratch the card and follow the instructions provided on the card.
3.3. A free entry route is available: Customers can enter the Competition by visiting www.philipharris.co.uk/scavenger-hunt and completing the form. View section 7 for more details.
3.4. There is no minimum order required and the Competition is valid for one purchase only.
- How to claim
4.1. To claim a prize, customers must e-mail socialmedia@philipharris.co.uk with their name, school or college name and address, plus the secret code on the scratchcard.
4.2. Evidence of the scratch card will be requested for the £5,000 and £2,000 prizes.
4.3. Prizes must be claimed by 30th September 2025. Any claims submitted after this date will be invalid.
- Competition Period
5.1. The Competition opens on 5th May 2025 and closes on 25th July 2025 at 23.59 GMT.
5.2. Entries received after the closing date will not be accepted.

6.2. The winners of the £5,000 and £2,000 worth of science resources will choose prizes to the value inclusive of VAT on www.philipharris.co.uk. The choice of resources must be sent by e-mail to socialmedia@philipharris.co.uk no later than 30th September 2025.
6.3. Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other alternatives. No cash alternative is available.
6.4. Prizes must be delivered to a UK educational establishment. The promoter reserves the right to refuse to deliver to an address which does not meet this criteria.
6.5. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if necessary.
6.6. The Promoter may withdraw or cancel the offer at any time without notice, subject to applicable law.
6.7. The winner of the £5,000 of resources for your school prize agrees to allow the Promoter to use their name and photograph for promotional purposes in connection with this Competition without further compensation.
- Free Entry Route
7.1. Customers who have not made a purchase can enter the Competition by visiting www.philipharris.co.uk and completing the form with their name, school or college name and address.
7.2. The free entry method provides an equal chance of winning.
7.3. No purchase is necessary to enter or win via the free entry route.
7.4. One free entry per school or college.
- 20% Discount Offer
8.1. A 20% discount on the card is valid for one qualifying order placed between 1st September and 30th September 2025 and is applicable to the ex VAT net value.
8.2. The 20% discount excludes chemicals, restricted items, no further discount, sale and clearance lines, and technology items.
8.3. The 20% discount offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, promotion, or framework agreement discount.
8.4. The 20% discount is single use only on one order.
8.5. The 20% discount is only available to customers in the UK including Channel Islands and Isle of Man.
- Data Protection
9.1. By entering, participants agree to the processing of their personal data in accordance with the Promoter's Privacy Policy available at https://www.philipharris.co.uk/help-and-advice/small-print/privacy-policy,
9.2. Data will be used solely for the purposes of administering this Competition unless marketing consent is separately given.
- General
10.1. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, modify, or suspend the Competition and / or 20% discount offer in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

10.3. These Terms & Conditions are governed by English law. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
