This anthropological skull model is a wonderful casting of a reconstruction of the La Chapelle-aux-Saints skull. The model is an accurate replica of one belonging to a 50-55 year old male Neanderthal from ancient Europe of the species Homo neanderthalensis.
Neanderthals were closely related to Homo sapiens, and were the last species of hominid to live at the same time as anatomically modern humans.
This replica La Chapelle-aux-Saints skull is a great tool for teaching and learning the anatomy of early humans.
