An ideal starter microscope the BMS 037 LED has a robust stand and base construction to optimise the microscopes stability, the carry handle enables easy portability around the lab space. It has enhanced LED illumination and combines incident light with transmission type, meaning the microscope offers both compound and stereo microscopy to be carried out. The incident and transmission light can be controlled separately and both are adjustable by a dimmer switch.
This microscope has 10x widefield eyepiece, which is mounted at 45 degrees providing user with comfortable posture whilst the instrument is in use. It has a triple nosepiece and features 4x, 10x and 40x objectives, giving the microscope a total magnification of 400x. The fixed condenser N.A. 0.65 is provided with a six aperture disc diaphragm to adjust the amount of light coming through the specimen slide. Although an ideal starter microscope the BMS 037 LED benefits from high quality optics that provide very good value and allow the user to observe a realm of detail and structure within everyday objects.
